Create Product Finder Version for Another Language and/or Country
Introduction
Nowadays, no one is any more surprised to learn that a company delivers its products to different countries. Moreover, this is the situation that is deemed normal and often is the key to success. That's why Product Finder 360 provides its users with the ability to use one Product Finder in different countries. You can create a version of your Product Finder for every specific language and country. This means that you can translate the Product Finder into a different language to use in the same or a different country. Moreover, you can create a Product Finder in the same language that will be used in different countries (considering the difference in prices, goods in stock, etc.)
Versions of one Product Finder that are to be used for different countries and/or languages are called "localizations".
Steps and Links
To create a localization you need to:
Define default localization: Create your Product Finder and define the country and language thereof.
Create new localization: Tell Product Finder that you want to create a version of your Product Finder in another language and/or for another country. Initially, the new localization will refer to the default language and have an empty product catalog.
Translate the Product Finder to the new language: If you want the Product Finder to be in a different language, you need to translate all the relevant text content, i.e. the questions, answers, their descriptions, standard texts, and captions used for product recommendations and comparisons. You can also change the wording in the same language for a new localization (e.g. US and UK specific words)
Add localized product catalog for the new country: You need to add a product collection to the localized Product Finder - the values in this product collection might be different than the values in the default product catalog, but the list of the column headers must be the same.
Check and adjust the mapping rules of the localized product catalog and translated questions.
Check and adjust the way product attributes are displayed at the recommendations of the localized Product Finder
